Questions
What is FightZone Running?
FightZone Running is an iOS treadmill training app for combat-sport athletes. It turns any treadmill into fight-camp conditioning, with coach-voiced workouts built on real round lengths for MMA, boxing, BJJ and kickboxing, speed and incline set from your own base pace, and four levels from Novice to Championship Fighter.
Is FightZone Running out yet, and how much does it cost?
It is coming soon to the App Store for iPhone. Pricing is still to be confirmed. Join the waitlist on the homepage to hear first.
Is it on Android?
Not at launch. It is iOS (iPhone) first.
Do I need a smart treadmill?
No. Any treadmill with speed and incline controls works. Your coach tells you when to change them, and the app gives you a heads-up before big incline changes because treadmills take time to climb.
Do I need to do a combat sport?
No. The Run track and many Fighter Runs suit anyone who wants hard, varied treadmill cardio.
What levels are there?
Novice, Gym Show Fighter, Amateur Fighter and Championship Fighter. A 17-minute guided fitness test recommends where to start.
Which sports does it cover?
MMA (5-minute rounds), boxing (3-minute rounds), BJJ (5–6 minute incline rounds) and kickboxing (3-minute rounds), plus a general Run track.
Can I use Spotify or Apple Music?
Yes. Play music in any app; your coach talks over it and the music dips briefly.
Who are the coaches?
Six original characters with professionally generated voices, not based on real people: The Guv'nor, The Boss, Sarge, Nova, Roxy and Valentina.
Do I need an account?
No. Your profile and history are stored on your iPhone.
Does it work with Apple Watch or WHOOP?
Heart-rate support for Apple Watch, WHOOP heart-rate broadcast and Bluetooth chest straps is being tested and is not confirmed for launch yet.
How steep does the incline go?
Designed limits rise with level (up to 12% running and 15% walking at Championship), but the app caps incline at 8% until you complete the in-app health check, never exceeds your treadmill's maximum, and caps at 5% if you report Achilles or calf problems.
Is it safe for beginners?
The Novice level has no sprints, every speed is relative to your own pace, and there's a warm-up and cool-down every session. If you have a medical condition, check with your doctor first.
